Changes are only saved until the next time I open Page or Article

I’m experiencing some really weird problems regarding a Textpattern website that I’ve just uploaded. I guess it has something to do with the MySQL database or something but maybe you know more about it than me.

When I edit and save either a Page template or an article the changes are only saved temporarily, meaning that the changes are saved and shown on the website as they are meant to be. But the next time I open the Page template or article the changes that I have made are gone and the original contents of the Page template or article are shown. Really weird. It is as if the changes are not saved in the database, but that does not make sense as the changes are shown as they are meant to be as long as I do not reopen the Page template or article and save.

Any ideas? The problem occured after I uploaded the website to the web host. I worked just fine prior to that.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like the content of the textarea is being cached. Which browser are you using? are you using any browser extension that could be affecting the textarea?

You could try doing a total refresh on the Page template/article and see if it’s refreshed to the last version (the one that should be displayed).

You are absolutely right regarding that it is a browser issue. Phew, I was afraid that it was some database issue.

The problem exists on IE7 and there are absolutely no extensions installed. I have never experienced it before, but refreshing the textarea using F5 shows the updated article contents and fixes the problem. I have just installed Firefox on this computer and Firefox works flawlessly (as always).

I have no idea why IE7 behaves this way.

The new version of Opera (9.5) also has this issue. Previous versions cached and loaded correctly; with this version, I have to refresh an admin page in order for the most recent content / changes to show. Frustrating, since it’s vastly superior to FF and IE, and I use it for everything else.
