comments are disabled but i know it's not the admin section
for some reason, commenting is disabled for blog entries on one of my client’s sites. i Checked the admin>preferences section but everything is fine there. Comments are on by default.
I did check each individual article and under the comments section under the “more” area, it says “expired”. thoughts?

Hi dreamer,
in Admin -> Preferences, look for the option “Comments expire…”.
Probably it’s set to X weeks.
I’m not sure how to re-enable them, but I would try the following: set the “Comments expire…” option to “Never” and then check the individual article to see if you have to re-enable them on per-article basis.

Re-enabling can be easily done with Article List’s multiedit function if comments are closed.
Textpattern > List > Select All > With selected: Change comments and option Comments On
