Re: rah_textile_bar

Does this not work in IE6?

Mostly not, and won’t never be officially supported by IE6 or below. Reason:

  • Images are 24bit Alpha channel pngs.

Please, upgrade your browser.

Re: rah_textile_bar

It works on my browser at home but I’m stuck with IE6 at work for now. Great plugin, thanks!

Re: rah_textile_bar

I don’t want to start a riot here, but why the need for the png format?
There are still ton’s of folks who (for one reason or another) are stuck in IE6.

Re: rah_textile_bar

Strangely, I was trying out your rah_write_each_section plugin and with it activated this plugin works on the write tab of a section.

Re: rah_textile_bar

New version 0.3 released. Changes:

  • Now uses CSS sprite technique.
  • Changed image type from PNG to GIF: now renders fine in really old browsers (IE6 and below).
  • Improved the code and loading speed.

More info and downloads

Re: rah_textile_bar

Link broken.

Not anymore. Also, if you didn’t get where the plugin was, maybe it could have been found by replacing localhost with rahforum.biz ;)

But, yeah, sorry, accidently pasted the local dev box url (the sites are identical cause they are “mirrors” of each other) :D

Re: rah_textile_bar

Gocom,

Thanks or the updates! You are really rocking it out on this one. Much appreciated.

I’ve got a question, when I use the ul or ol buttons it doesn’t do what I’d expect.
(mkc_textilebar does the same thing so maybe it’s just me.)

Anyhow, when I have a list of items – I select the list and hit ul.
It only adds a * to the first item. (See screenshots below)

List items

Select them all

After I click UL

Ideally this would be the result

Re: rah_textile_bar

renobird, it does what it should, me thinks :)

rah_textile_bar (uses the quicktags syntax style syntax what’so’ever) doesn’t support highlighting in that era ;) And so i think it should be.

If you wish to do so, then you should use editors not tag inserters that are no-editors. But if you can live with that, no-editor&no-hightlight, then we can all love this no-editor-thingy ;)

Re: rah_textile_bar

Hey Gocom,

-Just found a conflict. (Gotta love wet_plugout

When rah_textile_bar is active it kills the functionality of stm_article_order

I’m assuming there’s a javascript conflict – but Firebug doesn’t show any errors.

See below – no conflict.

P.S. Thanks for the quick response to my previous post – I’m sure with a little training most users would get used to creating list-items one at a time. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong.

I don’t think so. Checked and false alarm. There is not a conflict.

There can’t be a conflict, the plugins work in different tabs, and both javascript are active only in their respective own tabs. If there still is bugs I would expect that the fault is somewhere else. Common reasons:

  • Javascript is client side: memory or buggy browser.

Possibly fixes:

  • Kill browser
  • Empty your cache etc.

If it still doesn’t work:

  • Change comp.
  • Check against other plugins

More to do:

  • Update jQuery

About Firefox 3.0.1:

  • On my comp. Fx’s js is quite unstable, even IE6/Fx1.5 is more stable.
