Character limit in article body?
I’m trying to display a massive wine list but when I save the article it cuts off at about half of the total 45,000 characters. I looked in the database and tried to change the body & body_html to ‘longtext’ but that didn’t help. Any ideas?

Re: Character limit in article body?
The body is limited to 16MB, if I remember correctly. 45000 is a strange cut-off limit (unless you’re using a lot of non-us-ascii chars combined with tables that don’t use the utf8 charset and a column type that allows 64kB bytes), so I wonder if this happens due to some security module that’s installed to limit the maximum post size. Does diagnostics show that mod_security is installed and if so, can you ask your webhost if they impost limits on the maximum POST size?

Re: Character limit in article body?
I think there may have been thousands of tab stops that I didn’t initially see. It had been exported from an Excel file and I’m beginning to think it was the problem. I cleaned up the document and it is working now. Strange though that Textpattern would have just stopped after the character limit I mentioned as the entire file was only 44k.
Thanks for your help.
