RSS to integrate with normal posts : ie: twitter

Anyone know of a way to integrate an rss feed into an article list?
It might simply be that an RSS post becomes a post in the db?

I’m particularly interested in allowing the author to post to twitter and it get
picked up by the Textpattern DB, rather than the other way around.

Also, anybody know how to drink beer and get skinny?

bit_rss will let you take a feed and use a form to display the output.

When I had a backyard pool, I would drink beer and go skinny dipping.

Um, drink beer only while running/jogging? :D

You could write a CRON script that used CURL to fetch from Twitter every so often (note the since and since_id options), and insert directly into the Txp database, rather than trying to do it via plugin.

I would look at “soup.io” for implementation.
Also there are ways of cacheing entries into your db, but it requires a bit of programming :)

I use SimplePie to include RSS Feeds onto my Textpattern sites.

asv_tumblelog will let you import rss feeds into textpattern.
