show the date once?

I have not posted more than one article in one day so I wanted to give it a try but before doing so. If do post another article after one in a day, will the date be posted again? I would like to show the date once for example: day, month, date, and year then for the second article to be posted in a day will have a time like hours:seconds am/pm but no repeated date i stated earlier. So the two articles will have a different time for sure but the “day, month, date, and year” will be posted once above the two articles, having the most recent one shown first.

I would look at this if_different and perhaps this if_first_article .

I knew it was something like that but I was on the tip of my tongue so I needed an answer before I cut my tongue, well not literally.
