[solved] Diagnostics: inaccessible/ missing files/

Hi there!

I’m running wild here.
I have tried out, checked the FAQ and tried the search the last hours but didn’t find a hint for solution.

I installed txp successfully once and tried to install it for another project.
Well, here it started bugging.

It gives me this error messages:

/customers/skf-borbeck.de/skf-borbeck.de/httpd.www/test/index.php is inaccessible ?
Missing files: /customers/skf-borbeck.de/skf-borbeck.de/httpd.www/test/textpattern/../index.php ?

first help says:

Diagnostics: Site Index Inaccessible

The main index.php file specified as the index for your site is unreadable by the webserver.
Please check permissions.

but I have to admit I have no idea how and where to check and edit permission.

on the 2nd error I don’t know where to check if index.php is really missing as I don’t know what directory /../ is supposed to be

I had other problems as well but solved them but this drives me insane not finding any hint how to solve.
Help a newbie out here, will you? :)

Thanks,
~charly

PS: When I try to enter the frontend it says “No input file specified.”

.. = parent directory, so this:
/customers/skf-borbeck.de/skf-borbeck.de/httpd.www/test/textpattern/../index.php
is the same as:
/customers/skf-borbeck.de/skf-borbeck.de/httpd.www/test/index.php

You can check permissions using some FTP clients or using the webinterface provided by your webhost.
It’s not an error I’ve seen very often, so you may want to consult your webhost about the permissions that need to be set for PHP files to work on your website.

Thanks for your answer.

I host this at the same provider as the working textpattern I installed before, so I guess there can’t be a problem with the hoster.

First I installed this project at the same domain as my other project , but in a subdomain (tried 3 different subdomains and table prefixes) and since this didn’t work I used the other domain with new database, but from the same hoster.

That’s why I’m so astonished about the error… everything worked fine before with same hoster, domain and database sighs

Thank you.
There really is no index.php
Can I somehow build it manually and put it there or do I have to try reinstalling? (which supposingly wouldn’t work cause I tried more then once)

Any further suggestions?

If the index.php file is really physically missing and doesn’t show up when you look at the directory using an FTP client, you could simply upload that file again.
