<txp:if_individual_article> error

Hi All,

Despite putting <txp:title /> and <txp:body /> inside the <txp:if_individual_article> tags, I get this error:

Tag error: -> Textpattern Notice: Page template archive does not contain a txp:article tag

The documentation does say that article specific tags can be used in Page templates, as long as they are wrapped inside the <txp:if_individual_article> tag, hence I am trying to figure this out.

Cheers,
Husain

Yeah I get that message sometimes too. Its a warning message. Turn on live mode and it will likely go away. They should really remove this warning out of test mode and flag it only in debugging mode.

Re: <txp:if_individual_article> error

Yes, does go away when status is set to LIVE. What makes me wonder is, in my previous Textpattern site this never happened, and I had the same template structure!

Anyway, I guess it’s nothing to worry about :)

Thanks for your response!

Re: <txp:if_individual_article> error

A common reason for this message (besides the obvious) is a missing closing tag. This message never happens out of the blue and often provides valuable indications for typos and invalid tag nestings. Look twice!

Re: <txp:if_individual_article> error

The warning is accurate: it is telling you that you don’t have the article tag appearing anywhere in your page; it’s got nothing to do with the fact that you have used title and body within if_individual_article. If the warning doesn’t matter in your situation, then ignore it. It is there so you understand why article listings aren’t working properly.
