Wish to bring existing website's look and feel to TXP
I need to know how to include a header file and a footer file I already use across my static html pages. I would like the blog to look exactly like the rest of the existing website.
The existing website has a header and a footer with everything inbetween.
Please help
Thanks

You’d put the header and footer in the page/template in TXP and all the content that differs on each page can be stored in separate articles.

Or if you use the header and footer in a lot of pages, consider instead to place the header in a form called “header”, and the footer in a form called “footer”. Then you can call the two forms using output_form in the page.
If you make changes to the header/footer in the future, no need to edit the page!

Thanks Jonathan,
I did exactly what you’ve said and it works perfectly.

Re: Wish to bring existing website's look and feel to TXP
What I did was just use the txp:php tags to include the header.php and footer.php files the rest of my site uses. Then if I update those two files, EVERYTHING updates, and I don’t have to worry about changing them in a second or third location and missing something. :)
