Disabled PHP Functions myshellexec

I’ve installed textpattern on a server I haven’t used before. And everything seems in order except for this error in Diagnotics.

The following PHP functions (which may be necessary to run Textpattern) are disabled on your server: myshellexec

I can’t seem to find any information on this php function and its necessity to a txp install. I’ve looked at the FAQ here but no info found.

Any help anyone could give would be much appreciated.

Thanks

It’s not needed.

Not surprising, because that function doesn’t exist in PHP. I think they meant to disable ‘shell_exec’ and if they did, that wouldn’t be a problem for TXP.

Awesome!

On a side note, I’ve been using TXP for a few years now and I’m always super impressed with this forum. The activity is so good to see, what a great community TXP has.
