Trouble with errors
Hi,
I installed ice-horse’s textplates style. He has however used the old ede_beginning plugin for showing preview text. I have installed the beginning plugin that is newer.
Some pages I load I keep getting errors such as:
Tag error: <txp:beginning length=“250” format=“inside” linktext=“Read More”/> -> Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: length on line 653
Tag error: <txp:beginning length=“250” format=“inside” linktext=“Read More”/> -> Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: format on line 653
Tag error: <txp:beginning length=“250” format=“inside” linktext=“Read More”/> -> Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: linktext on line 653
Tag error: <txp:beginning length=“250” format=“inside” linktext=“Read More”/> -> Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: length on line 653
Tag error: <txp:beginning length=“250” format=“inside” linktext=“Read More”/> -> Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: format on line 653
Tag error: <txp:beginning length=“250” format=“inside” linktext=“Read More”/> -> Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: linktext on line 653
How do I fix these? If there is no content in a category, then that category’s page loads without any errors on the top, else it throws these errors I’ve listed above.
And also in the comments page, I get the following error:
Tag error: <txp:message/> -> Textpattern Notice: tag is deprecated on line 1770
Please help
Thanks
Smacks

Re: Trouble with errors
These are only notices, not errors, they won’t show when you switch to live mode (preferences). There are more plugins that cause notices in testing mode, if it works don’t worry.
txp:message was replaced by txp:comment_message, just change the tag in the form(s) where it’s used.

Re: Trouble with errors
No, these are showing up in the live pages, please help.
How does one get rid of these errors from the live webpages?

Re: Trouble with errors
can you let us know of your url?
>Edit
If you go to Admin>Preferences
You can set the site’s “Production Status” to “live” and rid of the messages

Re: Trouble with errors
Thanks, I kept looking at the bullet point in the content tab in admin mode and thought it was already live. The errors have gone away. Thanks so much
