txp-cache too strong for smart updates?

I know that my question isn’t that new, I’ve just read somewhere a solution, but can’t remember where.

This is the problem:
In a template I want to put out a random stylesheet (a simple script in php). Unfortunately textpattern seems to evitate the changes by its cache system, so instead of the new random stylesheet the server outputs still a former one.

I just noticed a similar behaviour by deleting an article – I allways have to clear the cache of my browser to see the result. In that case I don’t know if this behaviour has to do with the server/txp-installation or rather the browser itself.

Is there any workaround to force the browser to request the new stylesheet? Any preference in the txp-admin-section?

Thanks for your help

Re: txp-cache too strong for smart updates?

sounds like your browser. i’ve never had to clear my cache to view updated/deleted articles.

also, txp doesn’t even have a built-in cache system anyway.

Does changing Send “Last-Modified” header? to no (advanced preferences) help?
