Search_Result_Excerpt Documentation Wrong?

Can someone tell me if the limit parameter on the search_result_excerpt tag only limits the number of search term matches within an article (i.e. 10 occurrences of “foobar”) or whether its a limit on the number of matches in the entire article database? (i.e. 10 articles)

Its seems the wording in the documentation is wrong. It states “excerpts” but the excerpt is really the paragraph of text containing all the search term occurrences. I believe it should say: “The maximum number of search term matches within an article. Default is 5”.

I say this because a search result page setup consists of calling txp:article searchform=“mysearch” and within mysearch, this form gets invoked repeatedly for each search result.

You’re right, it should say: “The maximum number of search term matches within an article. Default is 5”.
