Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Lee
Are you on a 4.0.5 install? If so, sed_section_fields will no longer even try to render the indexed section tab — that requires 4.0.6+.
As for the others, please first clear your browser caches — if that doesn’t work, can you mail me a login.
Thanks!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Steve,
unfortunately I have to confirm what lee is experiencing.
The funny thing is the plugin shows now “by default” (no need to play with the address bar) the problems the update was triyng to fix.
The problem is showing in both ie and firefox. I’m testing it in a local environment so I can’t send you a login.
I’m using glz_custom_fields.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
That’s odd — I’m using glz_custom_fields as well, and all seems to be working on my end. (The plot thickens…)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Addison, redbot, lee
I’ll try to take a look at early next week (probably Monday). Lee’s sent me a login so I’ll be able to work on a site exhibiting the problem.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Lee
checked your site and found it works perfectly if…
- You enable the new section layout via
admin > prefs > advanced
(scroll to the bottom) and… - aro_myadmin is off!
I’ll see what I can do to track this down locally later but for now you can just disable it.
redbot
Are you using aro_myadmin too?

No, sorry. Also I have enabled the new section layout via admin > prefs > advanced.
I tried disabling some plugins with no success. When I have some free time I’m gonna do some test more methodically.
Furthermore I noticed the only plugin version which is giving no problem (apart for the “address bar problem”) is 0.4.153 – while the plugin library works ok in all latest versions -
That’s all, as I said I’m going to test it more thoroughly as soon as I can.
Thank you
edit: I’ll continue to edit this post as soon as I discover new things
Wait Steve! In an attack of bravery I installed your last version (both plugin and library) to a live site and it’s working great.
So I think there must be something wrong with my local site. Later I’ll clone the live site to my local environment and post here what happens.
edit 2 I’ve cloned the live site (which works ok with the latest versions) in my local environment and it’s not working (to be more precise javascript is not working) so it must definitely be a problem in my local environment :(
But what? It goes beyond my logic.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
All
FYI: I’ve tracked down the problem Lee was having and it seems it was due to aro_myadmin’s output buffering. I’ve posted my mod to fix it over on Aeron’s thread.
redbot
hmm. So it works fine on a live site but not local — ok, why don’t you email me some details, like both the live and local diagnostics (please don’t post them here). Looking at the differences between setups might help you track down the problem — for example, one using php 4 and the other php 5.

Yes Steve, I’ve already thought about this. The strange thing is my live site (the one which works) runs on php 4.4.7 and my local site (which doesen’t work) on php 5.1.4.
Anyway as soon as possible I’ll send you the live and local diagnostics.
Thank you again.
