How to increase memory limit to allow for bigger file uploads
How would I go about increasing the limit on how big of a file I can upload through TXP? I’m on Bluehost and the limit is set at roughly 2.9 MB…. I want to set it at roughly 10MB as I am uploading .wav files. I know it has something to do with a php.ini file but that is the extent of my knowledge.
Where in the directory does the php.ini file go and what should the code look like?

Are you able to ftp those bigger files? In that case it’s better to do that and use ‘existing file’ in the files tab instead of ‘upload file’.

I’m not sure of what “existing files” tab you are referring to? I can definitely FTP them. The dilemma here is that I want the client to be able to be in charge of uploading the files as the files will be integrated into a flash player widget that he’s using. So better that he learns to do it than rely on me.

In the ‘Files’ screen, you can see two ways of adding files: ‘existing file’ lets you pick a file that is already in your files directory, and ‘upload file’ lets you upload a local file.

That’s news to me: I only see of ‘upload file’. there is no ‘existing file’ option.

If you have new files uploaded to the file folder, then they will show up as a drop down. If there aren’t any, nothing shows
