Re: [request] Multi file upload with Progress Bar, swfUpload

Nice catch Uli – just a typo on the post.

Firebug is showing this error:
$.MultiFile.options has no properties

Re: [request] Multi file upload with Progress Bar, swfUpload

hmm. Still not able to get this to work in 4.0.6.
Is it possible that they latest version of jQuery.MultiFile.js is not compatible?
I tried some older versions too – but still the same error.

Any suggestions?

Something like this should really be available in the core.
One image/file at time = a real time killer.
Ebl_upload is an alternative – but not free – and a feels too different than the TXP interface.

Not working for me using 4.05 – there’s no difference in the interface despite changing index.php, activating the plug in and loading the js file.

Can jQuery.MultiFile.js conflict with another file I’ve got there called jquery.js?

Re: [request] Multi file upload with Progress Bar, swfUpload

James,

A new version of EBL_upload is coming any day now.
From what Eric has hinted – the interface should be more like textpattern – and it will have some nice new features.
It won’t be free – but I’m sure it’ll be worth the $8 or whatever.

Just though I’d mention it in case you can’t get multifile working.

So is the next version still going to be sans Flash? Vote +1

I think it will still have to use Flash for the multi-file-select-whatever, but it sounds like Eric is going to have the interface look more native (at least that’s what I read into it). I sure hope so.

Re: [request] Multi file upload with Progress Bar, swfUpload

Yes, the flash component is still required, as without it, there is no way to select multiple files without click-browsing each and every file. It’s the only method available that allows this, unless you delve into JAVA and that gets to be a bit heavy.

I’ve been delayed a little because of work demands, but it should be soon.

Re: [request] Multi file upload with Progress Bar, swfUpload

You could always go the zipped folder of files method, which is quiet convenient.

zenphoto uses that method (among others). Although I think there are some server config. issues if you are going to have it extract the .zip after it’s uploaded. Works fine for me – but I’ve heard it can be a real headache to get working with certain hosts.

Re: [request] Multi file upload with Progress Bar, swfUpload

I am having a problem similar to renobird, when I try to install the plugin. Firebug gives me the following errror on the Images-tab:

$.MultiFile.options is undefined

I use 4.0.6. – any suggestions reg. would could cause the error would be appreciated :)
