[request] Internal Messaging for multi author sites
I’ve been looking at ajw_notepad_public and although it will be useful.
The fact that if I give write permissions to anyone else, they can delete the notepad contents completely isn’t ideal.
I’m not sure how big a project an internal messaging system would be.
Or whether it’s something many people would need.
I could sure use it!
Thanks
Geoff

Hi Geoff,
I think of two options:
- you could try an approach by using TXP comments system on a private section (look for rvm_privileged plug-in). That is, it will be in the public side of your site (your TXP site), but protected so only registered users could access to it.
- do it outside TXP: there is better software for that kind of tasks, example: ProjectPier.

Probably, option 1 also combined with jmd_dashboard.

Hola Manaqui,
Your last suggestion of the dashboard + private section sounds worth exploring.
Thanks for taking the time
Geoff
