[wiki] TxB License?

It’s “community-powered” but an “official” (quasi) resource of Textpattern, so what should the license be?

Currently it’s GNU Free Documentation License 1.2

Another option might be something from Creative Commons that indicates whether it allows:

Textpattern.com says “Copyright 2001–2008 Team Textpattern · All Rights Reserved,” but that’s probably a bit strong.

This might seem laughable at the moment, considering the current state of TxB, but that will change and it’s an honest/interesting question.

Re: [wiki] TxB License?

That’s kind of my point, to find out.

I’m not a lawyer, and I suppose it’s fine, but since we’re going to redo the IA, content, and TXB presumably keeps it’s quasi- “official” docs status in light of the new .com site, I thought we might as well be thorough and give TxB consideration from top-to-bottom.

If it’s OK, it’s OK.

Re: [wiki] TxB License?

Just an FYI, if you want to change the license for Txb you have to get permission from all its contributors.

I don’t really have a view on what it should be, since I’m not very familiar with the GFDL; doesn’t the GFDL most reflect the GPL license that Txp itself has?

Well, there’s a good reason to leave it alone. :)

End of inquiry.
