Post links and images directly

Hi guys,

I hope this hasn’t been discussed before. I would like the links and images to act as sections of the site, so when i upload a new image it automatically appears as an “article” on the main content area of my site. The same with links. Is there a way to query this content types directly without actually posting a new article?

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

If I get you right, you’r looking for txp:linklist and txp:image_index

[ Alphabetical tag listing ]

Hey uli, thanks for your reply,

Maybe those tags can help me. What I’m trying to do is mix links and images with articles in the same section. So that when I post a link to the link section it will appear on my front page just like any article, not just in the sidebar or any other area of the page. Sort of a “tumblelog” without the need of creating new sections for links and images.

Cheers,

d

Ah, “tumblelog” makes it a lot clearer (though the section thing seems contradicting to your first post). You’d always need to use a stream of articles in this case. Have you considered applying one of the image/link insertion helpers like wet_quicklink, upm_imagepopper, jmd_img_selector? They’re basically working the same way: They put a layer (or separate window, like in case of imagepopper) over the write tab, this way letting you insert contents rather quick and easy.
