[request] comments without preview. I s i t r e a l?
As I see here, many people wants to forget about Comment Preview.
Maybe, we needs new plugin, which can disable Comment Preview and protect against spam?
Of course, it’s a serious work, but I think such a plugin would have been useful to many people and would have significantly expanded functionality of TextPattern.

There aren’t that many people who really don’t want comment preview and I suspect those that do would enable it again after seeing how much spam they get without it. The previewing is very tightly integrated in the commenting system. Disabling it pretty much means re-implementing the entire comments code in a plugin.

It is easy to blame the preview if we don’t get enough input from visitors. neme.org also receives very few comments but a good visitor number/day.
dewaril… It is not the preview which prohibits visitors from writing their thoughts – it is the content of the webpage.

Hi,
i wanted to put the comments_preview into the area of the comments form, so i deleted the tag “comments_preview” inside the form “comments_display” and put it into “comments_form”.
But now i have two previews…one in the comments form and one right under the last comment.
Is it impossible to delete that preview in comments_display? Its there even if I deleted the tag.
It’s because I want it not there, i want it inside the comments_form.
