Lee
got it — thank you. Checks out fine for me! Perhaps a cache problem or are you using a browser with JavaScript disabled? (This feature needs a JavaScript enabled browser.)
Goodnight.

Uli
I will change that string to something more obvious. Thank you.

That’s odd. Not working in safari or ff with cache cleared. Bonne nuit..

lee,
that’s probably a stupid question but have you jquery installed?

Doesn’t that come as part of TxP?

When it’s checked the section is not showing in the section drop down list in the “write” page.
Aah, I read this is “under construction” a while ago! Another one of these really useful features! Great!
“Show section on Write tab” would be clearer, I think. Nevertheless, thanks, Steve, for adding this one!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Hi Steve, I just looked to see how the “static section” pref would ease authors’ lifes (hadn’t tested this of late), and found it didn’t work, all menu items on the write tab were as well visible and accessible. Alright, conflict testing, peanuts with wet_plugout. But with only sed_plugin_library (v.0.4.118), sed_section_fields (v.0.4.143) and glz_cf (v1.1.3) active it doesn’t work neither.
And I found, that it hadn’t copied exactly the settings for cf’s like I once had with sed_sf v.2 (faults were only on cf’s > 10). Can the reason for this be, that I didn’t activate glz_cf until after testing several passes of changing sed_sf section prefs?

Did you login as a non editor non-publisher? Publishers will always see all sections (I overlooked this at first too)

Yes, I asked because it happened to me once that for some reason I inadvertitely deleted the jquery.js file and spent some time to understand what was causing me problems.
But I argue this is not the case, sorry.

Did you mean “publisher”? Yes, I have “only” publishers rights, MAMP doesn’t mail me any subsequent passwords :/

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
- Firefox and Opera -> all is working perfectly
- ie6 -> works but with a little problem: when I choose a section in the modified “sections” tab it shows nothing at first, but when refreshing the page it works normally (this happens every time I change section). All the rest is working ok.
Regarding the little ie problem I won’t spend too much time on it because yes, it is still used by a lot of people, but rarely they have editor privileges and can access the “sections” tab.
And in any case this feature can be swiched off so nothing too compromising.

Oops sorry yes, I meant publisher (my english sucks).
Anyway this behaviour has a logic that is clearly explained here by Steve.
Regarding MAMP and new users you can do this:
1) create a new user with lower privileges
2) you won’t receive any mail -> who cares, open phpmyadmin and follow this. You’re done.
