randomising a navigation
hi…
i had a quick search and i couldn’t find this answered; hopefully someone can help me figure it out.
i’m doing a site at the moment with a normal enough main navigation (home, about us, contact, etc.). however, one of the main nav items is ‘members’, and this is the only main nav section that has its own subnavigation, which is, obviously enough, a list of the names of the members.
in order to avoid bruised egos, i want the ‘members’ subnavigation to be randomised. however, i’m finding it a bit difficult to figure out how to do this. i’ve tried messing around with txp:article’s sort=“rand()” feature, i’ve tried using txp:category_list, and a couple of other things, but so far i haven’t been able to get it to work.
the xhtml of the nav is fairly standard… the nav is made up of <li>s in a <ul>, with a nested sub-<ul> for the subnavigation.
any ideas?
thanks…
snthr.

Have you tried article_custom?
