Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...
I see that Latvian language file (lv-LV) is shorter than English. How can I find out the missing lines?

Papuass
On a development box, install Txp and download and install the MLP pack. It has specific features to allow you to list strings missing in any translation, translate them, and then output a language file to send to the devs. :-)

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...
Victor,
- Language files are fetched from the server, so if you have the language up-to-date there, then it will be up-to-date when someone installs Txp.
- Right now/any time.
- This FAQ entry should clear things up.
- list. They were missing from your language, they should be there now.

This FAQ entry should clear things up.
Now it’s clear. I really needed to ask FAQ first :)
Language files are fetched from the server, so if you have the language up-to-date there, then it will be up-to-date when someone installs Txp.
So, if server allows, language file will be updated from rpc.textpattern.com, otherwise it will use languge files that are in install pack?
Anoher couple of questions:
1. Here is screenshot of select menu from prefs. As you see, last option isn’t translated. I made a search in soureces and found, that string hrs/days ago is set directly in txp_prefs.php. Could this be taken to language files?
2. Where can I translate (if I can) the message, wich appears when opening missing help popup? For example this
3. Can you explain in three words :) the difference beetween archive_dateformat and dateformat, and why this options are separated in translation interface? archive_dateformat is in prefs and dateformat is in common

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...
- Okay, why is that even in there? Yes, it should be, and I’ve done so.
- There isn’t presently a way to do that.
- Look at your Basic Preferences.

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...
- Who is currently officially maintaining Ukrainian (uk-ua) translation?
- I’ve found some annoying bugs in that translation and want to fix them.
- How do I fix them locally?
- How do I contribute these changes?
- How long does it take for translation file to be updated?
Thanks,

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...
- Okay:
- Edit your database or download a copy of your lang file, edit it, and upload it in the languages interface.
- Talk to the translator or request to be added as a translator (the first is preferred). If he’s unable to be a translator anymore, he should contact me.
- Depends: if you’re updating your lang via the languages interface, they are there as soon as the translator corrects them. I update the downloadable files every once in a while (that has to be done manually, a simple one-click process). That’s actually getting rather annoying, so I’m going to work out a way for it to be done automatically (say regularly updated once a week or something).

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...
Re: previous post about Bosnian translation
The proper title of the language in the language itself is
Bosanski (Bosna i Hercegovina)
and in English
Bosnian (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Hope this helps as well…

Thanks. I’ve added you as a translator to the language server, so you can add future updates to the translation there.

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...
Hello,
I have taken the existing Bahasa Indonesia language file and re-badged it as Bahasa Melayu (Malaysian) as these two are somewhat similar. It should allow most BM readers to use the admin interface pretty well. I can offer this up to anyone willing to take on the role of translator for BM,
Edited to add: Here’s the ms-my.txt file.
