Re: clean urls

Re: clean urls

I swear I’d written a tutorial for Tiger last year, but I can’t find it. Make sure mod_rewrite is enabled – follow this article.

Re: clean urls

jm really thank you for your help. Yes mod_rewrite is definitely enabled. The only thing that differed from my setup from the articles was my personal .conf file. I followed it’s directions but still no luck.

Re: clean urls

Ahhh…So what kind of error are you getting? 404, 500, or blank page? I’ve lost track :).

Re: clean urls

404 error when I try to follow any links on the actual ‘site’. In diagnostics it just says “clean urls ain’t happenin’ brother”, or something like that.

Re: clean urls

Nice :D. Can you post your .htaccess? (use bc.. for long code blocks) (just a little too slow)

Re: clean urls

it must of been that article that you posted where it said to make some changes to your personal .conf file:

1. Open the yourname.conf file in the /etc/httpd/users folder. 2. Change the first two lines to this: Options All AllowOverride All 3. Give Apache another bounce: $ sudo apachectl restart

Yeah sure…it is the default so far as I can tell:

thanks for the textile tip; first time I’ve used it.
