Any way to organize by section/category/article?
I seem to remember at one time configuring a Textpattern installation so that the clean URLs could be accesses as domain.tld/section-name/category-name/article-title
, but now I can’t seem to figure out how to do it so I’ll gladly take any other suggestions.
Basically, the site has major sections, then needs to have categories within those sections and the articles in those categories:
I. Section 1
Ia. Category A
Ia1. Article 1
Ia2. Article 2
Ib. Category B
Ib1. Article 1
II. Section 2
IIa. Category A
IIa1. Article 1
IIa2. Article 2
IIb. Category B
IIb1. Article 1
IIb2. Article 2
Obviously TXP is great for this and I have the data arranged this way (currently using stw_category_tree plug-in to assist with creating the hierarchal structure on the display side), but when linking to the articles the URL appears as domain.tld/category/category-name/article-name
. That, in itself, is not such a terrible thing, but I was hoping to rely more on what section the person is in (for navigation and such).
Any pointers?

I use gbp_permanent_links to create urls like you describe: domain.com/sectionname/categoryname/title :)

Many thanks, that’s exactly what I was looking for. Had to page around a few times to get its tab to show up on the admin side of things, but it works like a charm so far.
