Main article switching by section/categor (taken by a Wordpress theme)

Hello everyone,

I saw this nice theme for WordPress and I’m looking for a similar one for Textpattern but it seems that doesn’t exist, for the moment. In particular I’d like to obtain the effect to change the main article (the one under the site title) clickin’ on the name of the category (it may be the section, in Txp).

Someone has obtained something similar in his own Txp site?

Thanks in advance.

That’s just a set of divs whose visibility is switched via JS when you click on the tabs. It uses its own function but you could for instance use the jquery tabs to achieve the same in the cms of your choice. In your example they are styled to look like separate buttons rather than tabs but in essence the same.

It wouldn’t actually switch between sections – the sample doesn’t switch between categories, it switches between sample content from that category – but you could of course pull in content from different sections. You’d set it up by using txp:article_custom to generate a series of divs with the relevant tab content. Check out the page source of the site you linked to to see how it was done.
