article_custom - using section and category at the same time

This works:

<txp:article_custom section=“computer”>

So does this:

<txp:article_custom category=“laptop”>

But not this:

<txp:article_custom category=“laptop” section=“computer”>

I’ve tried using cch_article_custom too.

Is this normal? If so, is there a way to create a list of articles of a different section and of a specific category?

Thanks,

Loz

Re: article_custom - using section and category at the same time

Lozmatic, it definetly should work, but if you use category and section at same time, the article must be assigned to both of them, the section and the category. It won’t make list from category + section, instead it makes list from section and/minus category. Tighten not wider.

Re: article_custom - using section and category at the same time

Gocom, when you say ‘the article must be assigned to both of them’ you mean the article being displayed or the articles i want to list?

I’m trying to get a list to display on a page in the ‘news’ section so the context is different. But this shouldn’t be an issue as custom_article is not context-dependent, if that makes any sense.

The latter.

It works.

My fault – I should have spotted a silly mistake.
