Deleted articles cause new articles to appear more slowly?
Hey everyone,
In some updates to my site, I deleted several older articles. Now, however, new articles that are created in the database after the deletion date are generated much more slowly than articles that were created prior to the deletion date. Article lists with new articles are still generated quickly and efficiently, but there is a noticeable difference.
To test it on my site, just load the home page with the article list:

The top 3 articles that appear are the new articles that I’ve added since the deletion date. The fourth article down, “Intersection” is one of the older articles. If you select the title link for any of the first 3 articles, you’ll notice it takes a very long time to load, compared to any of the older articles prior to the deletion date.
The articles I didn’t want to appear any longer were deleted via the Content -> Articles tab, not by some crazy SQL maneuver. ;)
I’m no database pro, but from what I can tell via the Rob’s rss_admin_db_manager plugin, there are no errors and no overhead for any of the tables.
Anyone have any suggestions that might help?
Thanks in advance,
Sak.
Thanks,
Sak.

Ah, yes, that was it. Sorry guys, I completely forgot to check the FAQ.
