Avoid mailing comment to the articles' author when classified as spam

In a multi-author site of mine (4.0.6) I use mrw_spamkeywords_urlcount to catch spam comments. It’s doing pretty well, but a copy of the comment is still sent to the article’s author even if it’s classified as spam or moderated. Some times we receive 60 or so spam comments…

Is there a way to avoid sending a mail notification to the author when specific status (spam or moderated) is assigned to the comment via plugin?
