[wiki] Textpattern first steps

I’ve been having health problems and so have been taking it easy. But I’ve managed to write some step by step instructions that I want to put on Textbook. I’d like some feedback first though, especially from new users because that’s the target audience, but all feedback is welcome.

Re: [wiki] Textpattern first steps

Makes sense to me, and is a good practical introduction to the way TXP operates. Has a sensible, logical progression imo and, combined with the Semantic model this should prove very useful; nice one. Wish I’d had it when I started out!

I’ll leave real newcomers to critique the content fully; I’m too long in the tooth to offer any useful improvements in that regard.

One thing though, that electric green text is brutal on a default white background :-) Arrghhh, my beautiful eyes…

Re: [wiki] Textpattern first steps

Thanks Stef. New green should be better.

The Semantic Model is fine but I only think it makes real sense after you’ve used Textpattern a bit, so hopefully my 10 steps will be provide sufficient practical experience.
