Disappearing Posts
Sometimes when I post… the posts appear on the front page but are inaccessible via their date-based permalinks.
For example, I’ve got a post dated 05 Apr 2008 07:35:40 (according to the Articles page); its link on the front page is http://example.com/2008/04/05/textpattern, but when I go to that link, I get a 404 not found. (It’s not available at /2008/04/04/textpattern or /2008/04/06/textpattern for that matter.)
This isn’t true for all posts. I imagine it’s a time zone/date issue of some kind… I’ve got my time zone set to GMT-5, DST on. I tried switching to GMT+0, DST/noDST with no difference in results, though (except that the article is listed in my Articles list as being posted at 05 Apr 2008 12:35:40 instead.)
What in the world could be going on here?

No plugins, just the native textpattern options.

Re: Disappearing Posts
Do other URL schemes, like /section/id/title or /section/title, work properly or does it only work with ‘messy urls’?

Re: Disappearing Posts
Other URL schemes work properly, just not year/month/day/title.
In fact, sometimes year/month/date/title works — just sometimes it doesn’t.
But I kind of want this to work because I have reams of old entries using that scheme from before I converted from Wordpress, and I wanted to preserve permalinks over the transition….
