Database unavailable

Just recently I exported my local textpattern database as an SQL file, in preparation for a for a clean install of leopard. After the install I moved all the textpattern files back into place, created a blank mySQL database and then imported the SQL file into it. So far so good, but when I navigated to the local url of the site I kept getting the error message Database unavailable. Eventually I managed to get things backup and running with an older backup. Out of curiosity I installed the rss_admin_db_manager plugin and tried to import my latest backup and ever time I got the error message FAILED TO RESTORE: 1.

If anyone could offer some help or advice I’d much appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Database unavailable

Check your config – are you able to connect to MySQL via Terminal (type mysql -u username -p db_name).
