article_image shown as thumbnail
I want to upload normal sized images, but use a thumbnail image for the article_image.
Can this be done without a plugin?
I’ve looked around and haven’t found any topics here covering it.

If your image is for example 3.jpg, the thumbnail will be 3t.jpg, so you can enter this in the article image field: http://www.yoursite.com/images/3t.jpg (note: use full url).

Can this be done without a plugin?
If you mean a tag like article_image, but output the thumbnail for it, then, unfortunately, not at the moment (you do need a plugin). This is fixed in svn; thumbnail ability for article_image will be available in 4.0.4.

Not sure. There are still a few fixes that need to be worked in. Sencer may have a general idea of how far off it is.

Wait! So you need a plugin just to dynamically call for an article_image thumbnail? That can’t be right!

FYI Christopher, this thread is old. thumbnail wasn’t added till 4.0.4 (released 2006-10).
