[request] Add author or developer notes to articles pages and forms
Would it be practical to add a notes section below the excerpt box for author/developer notes that would become part of the DB record attached to the article/page/form?
Often I must revert back to written notes when doing updates or maintenance and having a way to jot down notes or include article resources for that specific article page or form would be helpful.

Would it be practical…?
That’s a difficult question to answer. It all depends upon how necessary/valuable that information would be to you. It means either modifying the existing tables (not really recommended) or 1 additional db query when you load the relevant tabs in the admin.

I compare it to the metadata added to photoshop files — how you’re able to add additional reference data to your work product. I’d include notes or comments related to the associated element — whether that be an article, a page, or form. It would be helpful when you’re working with other contributors over long distances or when you have to follow another’s work — or simply when I have to revisit some irregular maintenance and can’t remember everything I did on the previous occasion.
If it would in any way impact the performance of my current installation, I’d have to give additional thought as to its usefulness. Thanks for the response.

You can try <txp:hide>This text will be hidden in TxP output</txp:hide>
.
Or look for the ajw_public_notepad plug-in.
