[request] modify mdn_wikitoday plugin?

is there anyone here, a developer perhaps, that can modify this plugin so it can work according to the article’s date rather than the current date? so if the article was posted, february 14… the link would go to the wikipedia page according to that date.

remillard, the author of this plugin, will no longer support this plugin so can anyone here take over this plugin and make some modifications mentioned in the above?

Just throwing this out there – as a rewrite, I’d store the Wikipedia content in a new db table (columns ~= parentid, date, wiki_content). It’d probably be a little easier for the end user to setup. I’ll see if I can find some time this weekend.
