Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

This doesn’t help those who are having problems, but perhaps it will help as some of the coders begin looking into updating the plugin. zem_event is working in 4.0.6 for me. I have a pretty basic implementation of it, so maybe that’s part of the reason. Also, I already had it installed in 4.0.5, and updated via svn.

update: I tried a fresh install of the plugin on another 4.0.6 site. I received the badly formed message using the regular plugin tab. I was able to upload the php version using plugin_composer. fwiw.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

Maverick can you maybe try exporting a new version from plugin composer and see if that one takes?

Also if someone can send me specific issues to look into I can see what I can do along with Rick and Stef.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

I think the first step might be to ensure that folks are clear on what needs to be downloaded and make it available as a download set. The only download on the download tab is based on Ver .34 and is patched for auto delete controls, this is not the most recent or most stable option. Perhaps moving a download for .35 and zem_paginate as compiled plugins to that page would resolve some potential confusion.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

I’d been using the plugin with no problems (apart from the minical problem – which I think bloke posted a fix to) until I tried to install it recently and got the ‘badly formed…’ error. I assumed it was just 4.0.6 but I tried an install of 4.0.5 too and that also didnt work. Perhaps its a date based or PHP update issue? This would be the first problem to look at I’d say. I’ll have to look at using ‘plugin_converter’?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

hakjoon

I exported a compressed version (0.3.5) from plugin composer. It installs fine for me.

(I think I recall that the uncompressed version was throwing that “badly formed” error for some folks in discussion from earlier in this thread?)

Per the install issues – I’m wondering if the problem is less 4.0.6 and more a compression issue.

I have three instances of successful installs in 4.0.6:

1) Plugin previously installed, Textpattern updated via SVN
2) Uncompiled Plugin installed via Plugin Composer
3) Compressed Plugin installed via Plugin Tab

Damien

If you would like, email me and I’ll send you a zip file with the compressed versions.

An alternate route is ied_plugin_composer and the php files.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

hakjoon has svn access, could he upload the compressed version (0.3.5) to http://code.google.com/p/zem-event/

It doesn’t fix the date picker issue i’m guessing?

You know on the date fields the javascript date picker doesn’t work. Or at least it doesn’t for me.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

Date picker widgets don’t work for me either. I’ll push a new compressed version to SVN tonight and try to set up a more clear download set in the downloads tab so it’s easier to see what is needed.

I’ll try to see if i can figure out the date picker issue while I’m at it.

Anyone else want access to the google code site?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

Strange. The date picker widgets are working for me at the moment.

There was a time when I had that problem. I don’t remember what I did to get them working. It seems like there was a fix mentioned earlier in the thread . . . .?

I have tried to update to the latest version of the date picker, but with no luck (I suspect it will take skill beyond what I have at the moment).

I do have a bug since upgrading to 4.0.6. (whether the upgrade has anything to do with it, I don’t know – just happens to coincide with it.)

I have an event list on the front page set to show the next 5 events in a particular category. Today when I added a new, repeating event (weekly, beginning March 5), the first instance it shows up is May 28. Meanwhile, it is shows properly on the big calendar. I haven’t figured out the problem yet.

edit: I should have noted that May 28 is the last date of the reoccurring event. I imagine that has something to do with it, but why it is skipping over all the prior occurrences . . .

fwiw

Mike
