oke,
One remark : in that menu you see sometimes the articles. That was a error i can’t fix. I need a two level menu not a three.

I’ve been messing around with my code but I’m afraid I can’t get it to do what you require. Sorry but I’m not sure it can be done. At the moment I think your best option is to stick to a three-level menu so that visitors can select individual articles. I can’t figure out a way to select them by month.

P.s. i try to follow your simple archives tutorial.
I made two sections : article and montly-archive.
I made one article with the section article.
I put your code in in the right places.
But no text and no menu.
What do i have done wrong ?
