2 new TXP powered sites

Hey all, I just launched 2 new sites that are TXP driven. Both are identical sites, just with different content being fed to them.

Both are only using 1 plugin, which is the SimplePie Plugin from Parman, Sneddon, and Small, which you can find out about Right Here.

Anyway, the sites are….

Leftalicious.com
and
Rightalicious.com

They are both still works in progress, but I welcome any comments, suggestions, etc.

Thanks!

—Cory

Ha Ha! Are you looking to start a fight between right and left! The left usually use red and the right blue.

I’m not suggesting you change them, the whole concept is tickling me that’s all. Nice site designs in that they are clear and simple to follow. I bet you’re an anarchist, aren’t you?

Hey Cory,

Nice, I like it.

I did notice a delay when I first visited the sites, then they popped instantly after that. Have you given thought to running a cron job to refresh the sites every half hour or so?

Re: 2 new TXP powered sites

Nice sites. I think the links are a little too small or not obvious enough, but the size works with the broad overview design. One discrepancy I noticed: rightalicious has more line-spacing (on the disclaimer page)!

In the US, the left (democrat) is blue, whereas the right (republican) is red.

Ah, didn’t know that. Compared with UK they’re both right though, so I suppose the republicans have gone so far to the right that they think they are the nation’s socialists maybe…

The sites look good.

You both are correct – depending on the year(s) in reference. The article below gives a brief history about 1/2 way through. 2000 is the year the current color associations firmed up in the U.S.

Elephants Are Red, Donkeys Are Blue
