CAPTCHA On Contact Form

Hello all,

I am getting a lot of spam through the contact form on one of my sites. I want to add a CAPTCHA to reduce or eliminate this junk.

My contact form is hard-coded into my contact page (i.e. I am not using a contact form plugin of any sort).

Is there a CAPTCHA plugin for Textpattern that I could use in my hard-coded contact form?

All advice and assistance welcome.

Cheers

Re: CAPTCHA On Contact Form

You may want to consider switching to a contact form plugin (ZCR) first, because they tend to have some anti-spam measures built in. Perhaps enough to reject spam so visitors don’t have to go through the whole captcha procedure.
And if that doesn’t help enough, it’s probably easier to find a plugin that adds captcha functionality to a contact form plugin.

Re: CAPTCHA On Contact Form

Thanks Ruud. I think you are right … I’ll experiment with using a contact form plugin instead.

Cheers
