KRITIK Magazine Official Launch - Using Textpattern

Hey everyone, thanks for all the help you have been to me, I have been working real hard on this web site:

There are still tons of issues with it and some strange format behaviours that i need to work out, but its released for better or for worse. What do you all think, does it look alright?

I think it will look alright but validate it because I’m sure you will see errors. For example you should only have one ID on a page, so you need to change some to classes. In Opera 8.5 I see two headers. In Firefox I see CONVERSATION doesn’t fit. But if you tidy it up, I think it will look very good.

The overal design is indeed good. A couple of things that I noticed:

There is a small mismatch going on between the height of the navigation div and the height of the Search input, once you navigate into a section page ( On Safari )
Watch out for readability of the article fonts. This is an on-line magazine, so the main point of focus should be the article itself. In my opinion the font-size here is to small. I’d also change lineheight and letter and wordspacing a ditch as well.

I think also I would have changed the columnwidth of the middle column for permlink URLs, may be through ditching the first column on the left in favor for more sreen estate of the article wrapper.

The column on the right, could have some extra content, that extends further down to the bottom, so that the overal layout doesn’t feel interrupted by the gray background.

However, as I said i feel it as a nice and pleasant layout.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have been working slowly to get it validated, and cross compatible with all the browsers. Right now it is good in ie7, firefox, and safari(new versions) so hopefully most things are getting fixed.

Article text size I mostly agree on, however don’t have too much control with that since the designer gets to decide those things.

Thanks, I have changed a lot now, and will continue to be tightening things up and getting it to all work smoother.
