Problems with shadowbox and sIFR in TXP site

Anyone here ever used sIFR and the Shadowbox Mediaviewer in a textpattern site?
Well I’m experimenting right now and in Safari and Firefox everything seems ok but in IE7 the z-indexes of the sIFR and the Shadowbox are fighting for attention :)

Maybe someone has a clue how to possibly solve this?

Kind regards,

Jöran

Re: Problems with shadowbox and sIFR in TXP site

Hi Joran (apologies – I don’t want to look up how to make the correct “o” on my keyboard right now),

I do not have experience with sIFR in TXP, but I did just come across this – which appears to have similar functionality. I haven’t tried it yet, but perhaps it can help you with this problem?

Good luck.

Re: Problems with shadowbox and sIFR in TXP site

Hi Raina,

thank you very much for your reply, this is a very interesting link and it will be of use some other time.
But I’m hoping for a tip to tweak the settings of the shadowbox js or css to work correctly in IE7.
I already fiddled with the z-indexes in the shadowbox.css and shadowbox-light.css files but that didn’t seem to work.

hey jöran,
can’t see the example page (get a 404 error) but try adding the sWmode parameter to your sifr statement sWmode:“transparent”
or sWmode:“opaque”
and that should fix it

Hey Kemie,

Thank you for your reply. The right url : http://www.trouwkoets.com without the /dev/ part.
I will try your solution and will let you know if it works!

Cheers Jöran
