Duplicating article categories list in db

I have a list of article categories, each article in the list will have an image associated with it.

To keep things organised, each article category will have a corresponding image category with the same name, this will make it easier to find / add / remove images later.

Now its fine if there is only a couple of them, but I’m talking tens of categories, most of them nested within parents categories, so I’m wondering if there is a way of duplicating the same articles categories to the images categories in the DB, given that they will both have the same names. It will save time to type each and every one of them.

Another dilemma I’m facing is styling the categories listing in the admin UI to make it obvious a a glance that there is categories within categories, maybe colour coding them , they are already tabbed by Txp but its still a bit confusing to make them out.

You’ll have to create each category by hand, I’m afraid.

That’s what I did.
I’m sure there is a way to duplicate the content of a table to another, SQL is not one of my strengths “yet” , but I’ll update this post once I know how, in case anyone’s facing the same as me.

Regarding the Categories listing in the admin side, I guess I have to put my wooden glasses on.
