Twitter to Textpattern
How can I take an update to twitter (perhaps a direct message to a bot) and convert it into a post in textpattern? I want the ability to send updates by text. Maybe there is a non twitter way to text in updates? It just seems that twitter is my best option.

That is not what I want. I want to be able to text 40404 (twitter) and have it take the resulting tweet and turn it into a post.

asv_tumblelog makes that possible. in fact it does both: it brings tumblelog functionality to textpattern. in addition to that you can import posts from rss feeds, that’s what i was referring to when recommending it. install it, go to extensions > tumblelog and setup your twitter feed. you can choose to which section it should go to, etc. make sure to setup a cronjob to check for new twitters to import regularly.

To send your updates on twitter using text pattern, use the RSS feed. I think twitter is now using new RSS, what I mean is that they are now using oAuth. In order to benefit with that new feed, you should update your account.
