eBay search on the TXP driven website
Well, actually I don’t think that’s possible at all.
Look my ongoing design concept
This is still static website, but hopefully very soon will be running on TXP.
1st QUESTION:
Right now I have 2 search forms there. The first is eBay search, 2nd doesn’t really work yet.
So, when you want to search smth and type your word on the field, new window will open with eBay website and results.
I wonder if it’s possible to take those results from eBay site and “put” in my clients’ website :p
Like the search would be local…
2nd QUESTION:
How can I make 2nd search working? It’s from Idealo.de website
Finding eBay search wasn’t too difficult, but don’t find this one’s search engine/script…
Can anyone help, please?
Thanks!

Re your first question, would an iframe solution do?

Thank you colak, why didn’t I think about that myself… :)
Yes, this looks nice. I’ve to get feedback from client on that one.

Re: eBay search on the TXP driven website
OK, did that, but quickly discovered that I can’t use link (a href…) inside of a form.
Check it out.
Click on those 2 links.
If just to use it via links, it would be ok. But if the onsite search field is necessary…

Re: eBay search on the TXP driven website
yes, those links work without any problem.
But how to use the shadowbox with the search form?

Re: eBay search on the TXP driven website
I think I can’t make that to work via search form.
But, that’s ok.
Now, about making search from another site…
I think it’s not possible to make that extarnally from another site. With eBay it’s possible indeed.
Or am I wrong about that external search thing?

Re: eBay search on the TXP driven website
Shadowbox has one minor problem. There’s no url seen in ‘new window’.
With eBay it’s not a problem, because at eBay a single item has an ‘article number’ that is given to identify a product.
Unfortunately with Idealo there’s no such thing.
I wonder if there was an alternative to the shadowbox. With an address bar.
