Absolute image path in Admin>Prefs>Adv.

One thing I would love to see in TXP is an absolute image path for images. Aside from being more consistent with the other editable file paths, this would be useful when in the following situation:

  • A subdomain, dev, of a live site is created on the same server to work on new features with a duplicate of the live database. Instead of copying all the images over, one could change the img prefs to /home/example/public_html/images instead from /home/example/public_html/dev/images. Then if new images are added, they’re added to the live site’s image directory, so switching from dev to live is easier (just change db name essentially).

Re: Absolute image path in Admin>Prefs>Adv.

It’s a relative directory because it’s both used in the URL for images and in the file path for images when working on the images tab.
