Check out this great ‘Post via email’ feature at Blogger :

Has anyone tried this with Textpattern yet? If so, any successes or warnings?

i dont get it. logging in and posting to my blog is as simple as logging into my email. why would i want an intermediate step?

Good Morning All,

Thank you both for good replies. Hope you enjoyed a great weekend.

Now for more information about this topic.

Say you want to forward messages to a certain, special Textpattern email address configured using a plug-in to publish via email.

You might also want to specify that these articles automatically publish as Live or Hidden, or etc. in a certain TXP Section using the plug-in.

Your TXP blog now posts the email as an article into your TXP system. This makes your TXP blog an email aggregator, relieving authors from certain steps and develops a faster content flow.

A great function, but it doesn’t look like TXP has this one even though Blogger has had it for a long time.

i now get why people would want to post by email, and i wonder if anyone has thought of using Jott with their txp?
