Re: Community driven SVN branch
thanks jm, I was following that thread for a while then got distracted.
I’m guessing it ends in tears, or at least a deadend…
Hmm, I’m wondering how e.g. Wordpress and Drupal got so much momentum, compared to txp? Any ideas?
Maybe because they had kind of leaders (Matt, Dries). Seems like there’s not enough motivation/reward to really push txp forward, rather than just ticking over (no offense to anyone, just an observation!).

huh? maybe you should read a bit more. its already started. several branches already exist along with our own forums and bazaar version control. i believe the previous iteration of xpattern didn’t fully go forward because the manpower wasn’t there. now it does. even the unused #textpattern channel has been revitalized solely because of this fork. people are definitely motivated to extend an already great system.
