[textile] Footnotes in textile
I am having problems using footnotes in textile. I can get the [1], [2] etc to work, but the corresponding fn1., fn2. etc at the bottom of the page do not work. Also, rather than giving them an id of 1, 2 etc, they give long alpha-numerical ids.

Re: [textile] Footnotes in textile
An example would be nice ;). It’s intentional to give the footnotes long ids – it ensures it’s unique, and it’s valid (id=1 is invalid).

Re: [textile] Footnotes in textile
Here is an example footnote and end-ref.
<i>By Manuel Yang (University of Toledo)</i>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Footnote, here.1
<p>When Yoshimoto Taka’aki published <i>Gengo ni totte bi to wa nanika</i> (<i>What is Beauty for Language</i>) in 1965 – after its serialization on the pages of the New Left journal <i>ShikM</i> that he co-founded and edited – many of Yoshimoto’s ardent readers among the Japanese radical student movement, expecting a political directive for the m…-. <i>Jicho o kataru</i>. Tokyo: Rocking On, 2007.</p>
<p><i>Yoshimoto Taka’aki ga kataru sengo 55-nen: sengo bungaku to gengo-hyMgen ron</i>.. Vol. 2. Tokyo: SankM-sha, 2001.</p>
fn1.footonote.
Now the top works but the bottom gives me nothing.

Re: [textile] Footnotes in textile
I just tested the following, and it works fine:
_By Manuel Yang (University of Toledo)_
Footnote, here.[1]
When Yoshimoto Taka'aki published _Gengo ni totte bi to wa nanika_ (_What is Beauty for Language_) in 1965 after its serialization on the pages of the New Left journal _ShikM_ that he co-founded and edited many of Yoshimoto's ardent readers among the Japanese radical student movement, expecting a political directive for the m...-. _Jicho o kataru_. Tokyo: Rocking On, 2007.
Yoshimoto Taka'aki ga kataru sengo 55-nen: sengo bungaku to gengo-hyMgen ron_.. Vol. 2. Tokyo: SankM-sha, 2001.
fn1. Footnote goes here

Re: [textile] Footnotes in textile
tc03, I think that you need to have another linebreak before fn1. footnote
and a space before footnote
And my question re footnotes:) Is there a reason that textile produces such a strange (to me anyway) anchor? ie http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=25744#fn170758505647985c7c1b4fd
Wouldn’t it be better if to could just produce
http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=25744#fn1 ?

Re: [textile] Footnotes in textile
Yiannis: Think about article lists, where each article has a footnote #1.

Pinky,
you can adjust the height with a simple css rule
.footnoteclass p
{
line-height: .7
}

Re: [textile] Footnotes in textile
Hello,
I´ve a strange problem with textile footnotes in Textpattern 4.2.0
[1]
fn1. footnote
gives me a footnote link /#fn15540204754ccdb4d6b8346
like this. So the link lacks the article-link and the footnote-link directs to the main side.
I think it has something to do with the url scheme, because before I changed the scheme, it worked: it works id_title.
Any hint?

Re: [textile] Footnotes in textile
I solved it.
The problem is <base href="http://domain" />
Hint is from here: http://forum.redaxo.de/sutra53329.html (german)
