Still trouble
I still have the following problems:
4. Site URL preference might be incorrect: www.vitalpoetics.com/textpattern-4.0.5 ?
5. Clean URL test failed. ?
When the site URL preference is set to www.vitalpoetics.com/textpattern-4.0.5 i have no problems, except this is not my site’s url (www.vitalpoetics.com). When it is set to its proper url then I get the error message. Why? Did i set something up wrong in the install?
Also, www.vitalpoetics.com still shows a temporary index.html that was loaded in public_html on my server.

is that where you uploaded it?? if you wanted it at vitalpoetics.com/ then you don’t upload to a /textpattern-4.0.5 directory
did you already have a config.php done? change the path accordingly if you’ve been switching around the location.
edit: looks like you’re on your way to be sorted out

in my download of txp there is no .htaccess file…?
