"Articles" Tab

In the Texpattern admin, is there a way to make it so that the articles in the “Articles” tab are displayed in groups, grouped by “Section”? By default it displays one long list of every article. It would be nice to group them by “Section”. :)

Thanks!

If your click the ‘section’ column heading, it’ll sort on section name.

Re: "Articles" Tab

Thanks for the reply Ruud. Yes, I understand the sorting, but what I am talking about is “grouping” the articles by “Section”, sort of an expanding/collapsing interface maybe, where you see only your “Sections” listed initally, then you can expand a “Section” to see all of the “Articles” that are in that section.

Thanks again for the reply. :)

Re: "Articles" Tab

What you are looking for is an interface like the one used in this forum which it might be appropriate for some sites which have a limited number of articles/sections but it may become cumbersome to those with hundreds of articles and a lot of sections in them. For example how would you suggest the paging to work?

Re: "Articles" Tab

Yeah that’s a good analogy: the way this forum works. The “Sections” would appear as links and then when you click on one of them, a list of all of the “Articles” that are in that section appears, also as links. :)

Re: "Articles" Tab

Thanks Steve! I had considered plugins of course and I searched through them but I somehow missed that one. I will give it a try, it may be an “almost” solution anyway! :)

Thanks very much.
